Thomson Ind. Inc. started business in the 1930's as a pecan processing facility. Mr. Dick Thomson was manager/owner of the shelling plant and was educated at Prudue University as a aeronautical engineer. He consequently invented a pecan sheller which was later patented by his son, after Mr. Thomson's death.
